Shawn Mendes’ personal friends and immediate family joined a VIP dinner celebrating the launch of the new
campaign and collection that features sustainable innovation.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (March 2023) – Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces that Tommy Hilfiger and GRAMMY® nominated, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes presented their Spring 2023 Tommy X Shawn Classics Reborn collection at a one-night only dinner in London welcoming Shawn’s friends and family and a selection of noted futuremakers. Hosted at the members club House of KOKO in Camden on March 20th, the event celebrated the clashing of two creative forces.

Tommy Hilfiger and Shawn Mendes were joined by 80 guests, including press and VIPs at The House of KOKO, a member’s club within the iconic London music venue KOKO. Among the guests were Pamela Anderson and Jourdan Dunn, Shawn’s sister Aaliyah and close friend and songwriter Jon Vinyl, both of whom are featured in the campaign cast for Tommy x Shawn Classics Reborn, as well as Georgia May Jagger and Aoki Lee Simmons, stars of the Classics Reborn Spring 23 campaign that gave new life to prep icons through the self-expression of the next generation.

“London is the birthplace of so many pop culture classics, and has a progressive and positive energy that really captured the spirit of my collaboration with Shawn this season,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “The way people have been so curious to understand the sustainable vision behind the collection fills me with such optimism for the future.”

Earlier that day, Hilfiger and Mendes gave an insight into the inspiration, innovation, and creative process behind the collection at an in-store panel hosted by Susie Lau at the Regent Street TOMMY HILFIGER store, attended by fans of Shawn Mendes and members of the Tommy Hilfiger Club. The discussion focused on the shared values of Tommy and Shawn, the sustainable innovations the collection includes, and how prep icons were reinvented with a contemporary perspective. Guests enjoyed a DJ set by Jordon Wifi, and interacted with an AR mirror, trying on digital renditions of the physical collection, providing an exciting new channel for engagement beyond the traditional scope of retail.

“This season is all about taking classics and giving them a contemporary perspective,” said Shawn Mendes. “It’s a very personal collection, and seeing my sister in the campaign was one of the coolest moments in my career, so to have her here in London celebrating is very special. Thank you to all the fans for coming down and I can’t wait to see how they style the collection with their self-expression.”

The Tommy x Shawn Classics Reborn campaign took over London with projections on iconic locations Marble Arch and London Bridge, while street and tube placements pointed the way to the TOMMY HILFIGER store. Tommy Hilfiger and Shawn Mendes traveled in a contemporary take on a black London cab, powered by electricity and displaying the Tommy x Shawn Classics Reborn campaign. He stopped for a photo with a crowd of fans who awaited his arrival at Regent Street.

The Spring 2023 Tommy X Shawn Classics Reborn collection places a contemporary perspective on pre-90s prep, highlighting the relaxed fit and original comfort, with an emphasis on inclusivity. The partnership embraces Hilfiger and Mendes’ vision for sustainability by featuring recycled and innovative materials. Recycrom™️ material uses a new technique to make dye, created by reprocessing fibers from pre-consumer factory cutting waste into a colored powder. Circulose® is a material made from recycled textile waste that has been blended with wood fiber, reducing dependence on virgin resources and ensuring discarded cotton textiles can be part of a more circular recycling system, rather than ending up in landfills.
